Greetings from Transfer Services!

Hello and welcome to the Office of Transfer Services. I’m Emily, the Coordinator of Transfer Services for the University of Georgia. I’m glad you’ve found us.

I’m happy to set up a time to chat with you about transferring to UGA. The best way to get in contact is to email transfer@uga.edu with your availability and your preference between in-person, Zoom, or phone call. Feel free to reach out with general questions about the transfer process too. No question is too big or too small. If we can’t answer it, we’ll get you in contact with someone who can.

Things to Consider

We are not the Office of Admissions. We cannot access your application, evaluate your coursework, or tell you if you’ll get in. The Office of Admissions has a wealth of resources available for transfer students available through their website.

We cannot provide official academic advising. But we can guide you through available resources. Academic advising will take place once you’re admitted and attend New Student Orientation. We can’t tell you what you should register for at your current institution, but we can help you navigate the UGA Bulletin, Transfer Equivalency Search, and Transfer Planning Worksheet to help you get a sense of your progress or course options. There’s a lot of information available to you on our websites. We know it can be a lot to take in. We’re happy to review this information with you and how to use various tools to plan your transfer. Some advising teams do offer Prospective Advising resources.

Frequently Asked Questions

I called or emailed, when will I hear back? Typical response times are 1-2 business days. This could be extended during peak times (registration, drop/add week, when transfer applications open or close).

I’m not really sure where to start. What do I do? Let’s set up a time to meet! We can review eligibility requirements, timelines, and options for pursuing an undergraduate degree at UGA.
