About Us

 Litashia Carter portrait

Greetings from the Coordinator of Transfer Services:

My name is Litashia Carter, and I work with prospective transfer and current transfer students.

I’ve worked in advising at UGA for nearly 10 years. Most of those years were spent working in the Exploratory Center as the Lead Explore Advisor. I’ve also advised in the Terry College of Business as well as Franklin College of Arts and Sciences.

My office is in the New College building on North Campus.  I can help prospective transfers, current transfers, and undecided transfer students. I work with transfer students considering a major change, as well as those who need to get connected to a specific advisor for a specific major.  I work closely with all transfer students including students who are unaware of the 130 majors, 91 minors, and 50 certificate programs that are available to them. I also work with students who simply need help navigating UGA’s vast academic environment. Consider me as your touchpoint!

Please don’t hesitate to reach out. There are no questions too small or situations too large for me to handle. In fact, contacting me focuses the widespread resources of our university community on your specific need.

I’m here to help!
