What is one piece of advice you would give to a potential transfer student?
Don’t be afraid to go to things by yourself. It is very scary, but go, you never know who you will meet. I met some of my best friends by just taking a risk and going to a student organization one night. I really encourage you to ask questions and reach out if you need help. I wish I would have done that more as a transfer student. Especially, since I am an advisor now, I really wish I would have taken advantage of that time with my advisor and the resources available.

Where are you involved on campus?
I always recommend Transfer Services to my students. As a transfer student myself, I didn’t have access to such a valuable resource, and I know it would have made a significant difference during my transition.
