Food Services and Other Necessities

You need never go hungry on UGA’s campus. UGA Food Services provides five dining commons, including one on the Health Sciences Campus, as well as multiple retail food locations across campus. And if you’re looking for a job, keep in mind that working for Food Services allows you one free meal for each shift you work. 

UGA also provides a Student Food Pantry,  Additionally, the Franklin College Franklin Fridge, in Brooks Hall, keeps snacks on hand for students in need. The College of Family and Consumer Sciences in Dawson Hall operates Bulldog Basics, providing personal care items, as does the Health Sciences Campus Hygiene Closet. The College of Education provides a School Supply Closet for notebooks, pens, paper and other supplies for students in need.  Finally, the College of Family and Consumer Sciences and Career Center have collaborated to help furnish students with professional clothing through their Get Into Career Gear program.

The Aspire Clinic in the College of Family and Consumer Sciences offers assistance with finances, nutrition, legal issues and relationships.

At United Way of Northeast Georgia you will find multiple resources for assistance including food, mental and physical health, legal and financial services, housing information and many other resources.
